Description of the project
ONE FORTY WEST - The high life
The ONE FORTY WEST residential tower is opening up a whole new dimension in Frankfurt’s up-and-coming Senckenberg Quarter. This 140-metre hybrid building is home to 187 exclusive apartments to rent and buy, as well as an upmarket hotel – so residents can really experience the high life. Its good looks are not the only thing this cutting-edge tower has to offer, though. Comfort, security and energy efficiency are all writ large too. Smart technologies will help residents to create a pleasant indoor climate, while saving on the energy needed to heat the building and on electricity. Having an automated sun protection system was key to achieving this objective – and the high-quality s_enro external sun protection system from MHZ was the winning candidate. This roll-up metal blind boasts a wonderful filigree design and meets all the requirements for an efficient sun protection solution that is stable in wind. Its sustainability credentials are impressive too. Made of recyclable material, it reduces the amount of solar energy entering the building and simultaneously ensures that inside rooms benefit from the perfect amount of daylight.
